The good: There are few goods right now! The first one being that my friend Jackie had her baby last night. He is absolutely adorable and I get to meet him tonight! I can't wait! He looks absolutely perfect and it makes me anxious to be holding my own baby boy. The other good - I called the doctor and they said that all my blood work came back normal which means I do not have diabetes. M.A. Deb (that knows me by name) said that my weight is just fine too. Glad she didn't say I was gaining too much!
The Bad: I had an awful dream last night that I had gone into labor. First, let me saw that this dream probably came about because I was having really bad cramps (Dr. B says is normal) but I was in a lot of pain and it woke me up in the middle of the night... twice! Anyway, my dream... All I can remember was that I was at our apartment, it was very bloody, and I was crimpled in pain. I can only hope it doesn't actually go that way.
The Ugly: well, there isn't any ugly, but it sounded good for a title! I guess I should mention ugly people. Not ugly people in the sense of their looks, but in their attitude! People have been saying some pretty awful things to me lately like "are you having multiples" and "you look like you are about to pop". People are rude and they have no filter. I feel like throat punching these people, but my inner calmness holds back! I never anticipated receiving awful comments especially from people who I know or who I have worked for.

30 down 10 to go
Although this is referencing my week... it is also sort of referencing my weight. I had my 30 week checkup today and I gained another large amount in the past month. I weighed in at a hefty 173 pounds which means that I have gained exactly 30 pounds since the beginning and averaging 1 pound per week. This is no bueno! I was hoping to gain more than 35 pounds my entire pregnancy, but I am clearly going to be going over that mark since I have 10 weeks to go and baby Jensen is going to double in size. This week I believe he measures in at just over 3 pounds and about 16 inches long. Today I had to drink the orange sugar drink for my glucose test to check for gestational diabetes. That drink wasn't necessarily as bad as I expected it to be, but it was pretty awful for being 8 AM and that much sugar! I hope to never have to do that again. I should know my results by the end of the week and I hope everything is okay. Diabetes is fairly common during pregnancy, but can cause complications. Other than the hefty weight gain, Dr. B said that I am right on track and no swelling, contractions, and blood pressure is right where it should be. I am now going to start seeing Dr. B twice a month which is just crazy - time is going SO fast!
Last night was SOOO much fun! My mom and I headed downtown after work to see Katy Perry at Energy Solutions. We got down there early, parked right across from the arena and headed to the Gateway for dinner first. My mom treated me to dinner at Thaipoon and that was some good stuff! The best part was dessert! It was friend bananas, vanilla ice cream with caramel and strawberries! YUM! I could eat that all the time (although I don't and shouldn't). When we were done we headed over to get in line and it was about 7:30 then. Right in front of us was Elizabeth Smart and it was awesome to see her in person. She is a remarkable woman and she is absolutely beautiful. The opening band for Katy Perry wasn't very good - it was a woman by the name of Robyn. I hear he is pretty popular, but my mom and I were definitely not fans. It was so loud and the strobe light was going the entire time and she couldn't dance to save her life. Finally just after 9 PM Katy came out and it was well worth the wait! She was amazing! She had such a fun stage that was like a live Candy Land, but even better! Her stairs were super colorful and the handle was done like a candy cane. She had super fun outfits on, including her infamous blue wig. Right at the end she got on a floating cloud (literally) and played her guitar and sang while it was floating to the back of the arena. Best idea ever! My mom and I had great seats and I felt we got to see really well. When the concert was over it already well after 11 and I didn't get home until midnight. I feel asleep around 1 and had to wake up bright and early for my doctors appointment. I am definitely exhausted today, but it was completely worth it!
Not much else going on now. I had my hair done last Saturday by Jenn Kinsey @ work and it is really dark with red in it. I love it and glad to have dark hair again. That night we were supposed to do maternity pictures but the woman was sick so we rescheduled for this Saturday. It worked out since I had a big paper to write on Saturday. School is going well and I got an A and an A- in my last classes. Hopefully I do that well with these classes before I take my break in September.
Every week in August is completely booked between our 1 year anniversary (need to figure out what I am going to get Corey), 2 baby showers, more maternity pictures, Bees game, etc. Life is busy and I love it! August is bound to go by fast and then the next thing I know I will have a month before Jensen gets here. I can't wait to meet my little man!

Feeling brain dead
I never believed the "hype" of pregnancy brain, or whatever people call it. I guess there are studies that an expecting mom's brain can shrink by 8%. I don't believe that, but I do believe that my focus has shifted. At this point I feel like I can only think about Jensen, his well-being, and being tired! I am not really tired, but my energy is not what is has been for the past few months. I sit at my desk and yawn all day, but I don't feel like I could fall asleep. I think Jensen is just an energy sucker and it is taking all of my brain power to focus. I luckily haven't missed a deadline or forgot to go to a doctors appointment, but I have my trusty calendar for that. I literally have to write down everything and all of it goes in three spots... my desk calendar, my computer calendar (with pop-up reminders), and my planner that goes everywhere with me. I feel like I work slower, but my mom says that I work so fast all the time that I am probably moving at the normal persons speed. I thought that was kind of funny since everyone on my team says I get stuff done way too fast. They haven't said that since I have been pregnant though haha!
I think I forgot to mention in one of my last posts, but next Monday my mom and I are going to Katy Perry! Woo hoo! I love her and can't wait to go to her concert. My mom said we will probably look funny as she is "old" (her words not mine) and I am the big pregnant lady. I love that my mom loves her too and we can share something else together.
Not too much happening this weekend - I am having a co-worker who finished cosmetology school this year do my hair. Hopefully I like it since I am doing maternity pictures that night. We are still planning to do pictures at Oqquirh Lake in Daybreak and I think they will turn out pretty cute. If I don't like the location I can always ask to go somewhere else. I think with it being summer and being by the water (which is only a 20 minute drive) will be cute for pictures. Plus, I wanted simple outdoor pictures with the greenery since I want to hang some of these pictures in Jensen's room. Hopefully they turn out cute!
I just panicked! I looked over and saw my "widget" on my desktop and it says 76 days to go (in bold)!! I can't believe there is just over 2 months until Jensen Callan arrives! Holy moly! I better get his room ready! August is going to be a really busy month with finishing decorating, two baby showers, and of course of 1 year wedding anniversary! I am still trying to figure out what we are going to do. The following month (just before Jensen's arrival) is Corey's 30 birthday. Since I can't go all crazy due to being very pregnant and poor, I am thinking of getting a hotel room that looks really awesome, plus it has a pool table in the room. It would give us something to do besides watch movies that cost $15 a piece! I think I will look into booking it now. I wish we could go on a vacation, but I am scared to travel at this point - plus I don't think I am allowed on a plan starting in August. Off to find a mini-vaca here in SLC I guess....

My favorites
I realized that my mind is always changing on what I love and today this is what I love:
My husband, family, and dog
Starbucks green tea lemonade
WATERMELON (Jensen is probably made of this)
Bread, cheese, pasta
Iced tea
Sushi
The fans in my house and on my desk at work
Creating projects for Jensen's room
Water aerobics

Week 29
I can't believe how fast this pregnancy and time is going! I am still loving being pregnant and I feel like being so sick at the beginning was totally worth it. Tomorrow starts week 29 and that means I am two weeks into my third trimester. I can't believe the second trimester is already over.
What's new:
When I last posted I said I was going to hang out with Anja and Ava... and we did! They came over and we had pizza and hung out. She got to see Jensen's room and I got to hold Ava. She has gotten so big- she was a week away from being 4 months! Now that just shows how fast time goes!
I am still doing water aerobics, but probably averaging once a week. School is so busy that I don't have time to go. I love it though and I love that Jackie is still coming to class even though she is due in less than 2 weeks now! I can't wait to meet little Glavin!
Corey and I went to a breastfeeding class last Tuesday and I am so glad we did and I am glad he went with me. I had no idea what a proper latch looked like and clearly it is learned skill. I feel I am going to break the babies jaw feeding them, but they don't seem to mind. We also took a tour of the IMC hospital this past Saturday since I have never been there before. It is REALLY nice! The labor and delivery rooms are really nice and they said half have bathtubs instead of showers in case you want to get in to relax (before an epidural of course). They showed us where the OR an NICU was and how two of their OR rooms lead right into the NICU so they just hand the baby over. Upstairs on the third floor is the maternity ward and nursery. We got to peak in, but only two babies were in there - the rest must have been with there mommas.
School went really well this last block - I got an A and an A- which also brought my GPA up a little bit. I think I am close to a 3.8 now! My classes now are Humanities - Religions of the World and Science - Economy (crap). I have absolutely no interest in either one, but so far the work has been fairly easy and I am learning a lot.
I can't wait for next Monday - KATY PERRY here we come! I can't believe my mom bought those tickets almost two months ago and the day is finally here. We have been rocking out to her at lunch time for the past week or so. My mom and I still have lunch about 3 or 4 times a week and I love it! I enjoy spending all the time with my mom.
Next doctors appointment is in exactly a week and I am not really looking forward to it. I have to drink the orange sugar drink so I can get tested for diabetes. Some people say the drink wasn't bad at all and some said it was really gross and all the sugar made them sick. I hope I am just somewhere in between. As long as it doesn't make me sick I am fine with whatever it tastes like.
No new weird symptoms - I do however feel like I burn easily and I am constantly putting on sunblock. I haven't had any swelling yet and my feet haven't changed sizes. I hope my feet don't change so that my favorite, expensive heels will continue to fit me after Jensen arrives. My hair and nails haven't changed either. Some say there hair and nails grow really fast and get thick and strong. If anything my hair feels stringy haha! At least the hormones have helped with the oil and I don't wash it very often - probably every 3 days.
Okay, back to work I go. Actually, off to lunch! Gotta feed this little Ninja!

Week 27
Officially into week 27 (and a half) and realized that by this time next week I will be 7 months pregnat and in my 3rd trimester! Time is seriously going by way to fast! I guess when you feel good and are so busy with work, school, and family, you don't have time to stop and think.
Not much has happened since last week. Last weekend was pretty fun. I took a half day on Friday and spent it watching tv and doing laundry. Saturday I did homework and shopped. Sunday I lounged around all day and di more homework. Monday we took Dakota to the park, had a family dinner at my moms, and went to Jordan to watch the fireworks. That is our tradition we have had for a few years and I plan to continue it. Well, with the exception of next year - the fireworks that people light off right by you and the loud speakers for music is going to be a bit much for Jensen I think. We will have to stay home next year and then go the following.
This week is nothing new. Work has gone by so fast with only working 4 days. Tuesday night I did homework, Wednesday was more of the same and Thursday I went to water aerbocis with Jackie again. I was trying to get my last final for business done, but the teacher wasn't responding to me so I figured I might as well get in a workout. Today has been an insane day at work and I am glad it is almost over (less than an hour). I just am stressed out about my last final and I want to relax a little this weekend before classes start again on Monday. I can't believe how fast my classes go either. I love that they are only 9 weeks, especially if it is a class you don't enjoy. I can't remember the exact classes that are coming up, but I believe one is on world religion or something?!? Sounds boring and awful and not something I am interested in all. Maybe it will surprise me though and I will enjoy it.
This weekend I am hoping to finally see Anja and baby Ava - it has been months! She wants to see my growing belly too. I think she is coming over Sunday night for dinner. Other than that, I want to make a few crafts for Jensen's room including a hanging mobile. I am so excited to get working on it and I don't think it will cost much or take a ton of time. I just need to find fabric I like and hopefully on sale! I have become a stickler on prices and haven't paid full price for any items (other than groceries) all year! When I am done with school and have some free time on my hands (haha) I want to get into couponing to save us money. Right now I am just way too busy and it is going to worse when Jensen arrives. Every penny counts though!
Okay, off to work on reports before my weekend begins!
