Holy Moly! Besides the soreness that they worn you about, I had no idea that my chest would turn into the size of melons so quickly! And to think I thought I was big before... boy was I wrong! I can't believe they will get even bigger when baby comes and the milk arrives. The thought is actually pretty horrifying right now.
I am going to my appointment in less than 24 hours and I am so so so excited! I literally can not wait! I wish at your first appointment they could already tell you what sex your baby was so that I could start shopping. When I don't feel good that is one thing I love to do. Maybe it is a good thing that I don't know yet since we would probably already be broke!
Still feeling pretty sick and take the medicine the doctors gave me. I am glad I can talk to him tomorrow about the sickness, and all of my other worries and fears. I also try to eat about every two hours to help prevent feeling so sick. I try to eat a little healthier since I am consuming so much food. A typical day looks like this:
Breakfast: either eggos with butter or oatmeal with toast
Snack: a piece of fruit (usually a banana) and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Lunch: Soup or tuna fish sandwich (or both)
Afternoon snack: 100 calorie pack chocolates (brownies or pretzels) and whatever else I found at lunch to bring back to the office. Usually a chocolate pudding snack pack.
Dinner: This is usually my really unhealthy meal. I tend to eat out a lot for dinner since nothing sounds good. If I make dinner it is usually Mac and Cheese or something similar
Night snack: cereal or a piece of toast with strawberry jam
That is definitely a lot of food! I am trying to get better about eating out so that my caloric intake isn't off the charts. At this point though I figured that if it sounds good and stays down that I can have it for now.

Old Pictures - 4 weeks 5 days
I need to start taking baby bump pictures to watch my stomach grow. I told myself I would start at the very beginning at take them every week (although any change is most likely due to bloating right now). In this photos I realized I could no longer suck in and that I actually started getting really sick a day prior to these photos. My stomach is bigger than this today, but I think I am now getting that "protective fat layer" that will not go away even when the bloating does.
The beginning...

Baby Berry
According to a bagillion websites out there our baby is currently the size of a large raspberry. Very small if you ask me, but than again it is only week 8 and baby berry has a long way to go! No wonder it takes 40 weeks to have a healthy baby - they start out at the size of a pin needle head! Crazy!
Yesterday was a good day and I didn't feel too sick. I should have made myself more useful last night while feeling good and gotten some homework done. Because I felt great though I just wanted to sit down, watch tv and relax with my hubby. I did that from the time I walked in the door to the time I went to sleep! It was nice to just sit and not feel sick. Tonight I am going to have to be much more productive in my school work and watch...I am not going to feel so great.
This weekend I am going to be staying at my parents' house while my mom goes to Florida for a work trip. I will be there from Saturday night to Wednesday evening. Hopefully I can help my dad the way he needs me to and that I am not really sick while I am there. I already had the discussion with my dad that I am sick and rarerly cook. The thought of raw hamburger or chicken sickens me. I can't even look at it in the freezer! I am happy to eat a big hamburger or cooked chicken, I just can't get myself to do the prep work.
The only thing really bugging me lately is deli meat. I didn't really think I ate it that much before, but then I realized that I really like Quiznos, Subway, and Jimmy Johns. I actually went to Subway for lunch yesterday and just had them microwave my turkey for about a minute until it was steaming and the guy couldn't touch it because it was so hot. I figured that would do the trick! Luckily I absolutely HATE hotdogs and the thought... and smell of them make me sick. Glad I don't crave them!
Still looking about 4 or 5 months pregnant :( It would be great to look like this and be that far along, but I am only 2 months and shouldn't be showing. The bloat isn't going anywhere from what I can tell. I also weighed myself yesterday and it looks like I have gained about two or three pounds in the 8 weeks. Not too bad. I hear that 5 pounds at 12 weeks is normal.
I had a crazy and sad dream last night and I hear you get weird dreams when you are pregnant. I have always had nightmares from as far as I can remember, but I have never recalled having a weird dream. Last night my dream was that I had taken a test (like a pee stick pregnancy test) that told me I was pregnant with twins. The next thing in my dream was that I was bleeding and I suspected a miscarriage of my twins. It freaked me out so bad in my dream that I woke up breathing really hard.
I looked up yesterday the odds of having multiples (since Corey is a twin). I do not have very high chances (which isn't a bad thing). I really think everything is going great and have not worried about miscarriage, so that was horrible in my dream and have no idea where they came from. Glad I woke up and realized it was just a dream and I was safe and so is baby berry.

Does it always burn like that?
Haha! Acid reflux (heartburn) is a pain in my you-know-what and has been for a week or so. I didn't think about it last night when I decided to make a frozen pizza for dinner. Oh boy did I quickly regret that decision! I barely got it down before I got sick! I thought I could have ate the entire bottle of Tums (which I did just about do) and nothing was seeming to work. Just another joyful experience in the world of pregnancy I guess! I finally got propped up in bed and was able to fall asleep, but I learned to never eat that pizza again. I googled heartburn during pregnancy and apparently tomatoes was at the top of the list (spaghetti, pizza, etc). Hmm... with the few things that ever sound good the list will become even smaller with taking out the heartburn foods!
8 weeks tomorrow! Oh and my doctors appointment is in a week from today! I can't wait! I think hearing our babies heart beat will make all of these crazy systoms totally worth it!

Me + Preggo + School = EXHAUSTED
I am in my second term at the University of Phoenix (two classes for 9 weeks) and boy has it made me tired! The last block of classes were almost done before I found out we were expecting and I made it through with getting A's in both classes, but still exhausted by the time they were done. There is no break with this school, which is nice so that you transition smoothly and quickly into your new courses that following week.
So much for smooth though, I am worn out and classes just started again on Monday. Luckily they are subjects that catch my interest and that I know about (critical thinking and effective essay writing). I am so glad to be going back to school and I will graduate the end of May 2012 if I stay on track. That means I will have my associates in just over a year! How exciting!
I need to get a better school schedule down so that I am not working on papers until 10 at night, but making sure not to procrastinate on assignments becuase of exhaustion when I get home. I am sure I will find a good balance soon... hopefully!
Two weeks from yesterday will be the first ultrasound! I can't wait! I swear I have multiples in there with how big my stomach already is. It must be the infamous bloat that women talk about. Ready for a real bump and not fat and gas!

Wow! I call these pants Heaven!
So, some may laugh at me, but I already own a pair of maternity pants. They are sold by a company called Lilac that made their clothes specifically for maternity or normal size wear. I got a pair of there pants a few months ago and they felt like heaven. They are adorable too! Although they have a small panel in them I figured it looks like a shirt tucked in and prevents my crack from hanging out. I now wished every pair of pants were maternity jeans. All my other jeans press really hard on my bloated stomach and I end up in so much pain and huge indent in my belly from the button! I must add right now that I have only gained 1 pound, which was probably going to come on at this time anyway, but the bloating is miserable! I look like I could be 4 or 5 months along already! I have been trying to wear the Belly Band so that I don't have to zip and button my jeans (all the way) but that band is horribly uncomfortable. It is so tight! I could live out of drawstring pjs at this point! Bring on the comfortable clothes please!
So today I just realized that I have a big event this coming Friday for work where I have to dress up. Dressing in slacks sound like a nightmare! I am going to have to run to the maternity store and buy some stretchy black slacks so that I don't feel like I am dying trying to squeeze into my perfectly size 4 slacks. Man, I don't know if I will ever be that size again. I should have worn those pants more! I guess a pair of black pants will last me a while so I guess I will just call it a good investment for now. Friday I will be calling it necessary!

The toilet is calling my name
Hello morning sickness!
I don't even know who invented the term morning sickness since it literally lasts all day - 24 hours a day! Retards... and probably men who think we are crazy for getting this sick!
I actually felt great the first week I found out we were expecting and I thought I was going to be part of the lucky group that didn't get sick in their first trimester. Boy, who was I kidding? The sickness starting half way through my fifth week and has been a constant companion. I got so sick after a week of being miserable (and missing hours at work) that I gave in and called the doctor. They were so worried about dehydration that they called in a nausea pill and told me to drink more fluids or go to the ER. That scared me and I quickly started drinking more water. I have now learned the floor pattern in both of the bathrooms in our house as well as the design at work. Not a good way to learn a floor design I tell you!
I am actually 7 weeks pregnant today and I am still very sick. Hopefully this only lasts through the first trimester, which means that I am just over half way there of feeling horrible. I better not be the kind that is sick the entire 9 months! Ah!
I want this blog to be a journal for me to look back on and remember just how I felt (great or not) and to read it to our baby one day. I also want it to be a source for my family to keep in the loop of how we are doing.
I learned today that Baby is the size of a blueberry! If Baby is only half an inch big how come I feel so fat already? Ah, bloating, that is right. I wonder if that feeling will ever go away?
I go to my first appointment on March 1st and can't wait to hear Babies heart beat. I am sure that will be marked down as one of the best days of our lives!
